When I first wrote this track, I was feeling super overwhelmed in terms of trying to take advantage of my new environment for my personal goals while also planning my wedding. I was lucky enough to keep my east coast job, so it allowed me to have a sick schedule and I didn't want to lose out on that, so I was hitting up event after event and just meeting tons of great people. But after visiting back home to Baltimore for the holidays in 2021 and coming back to LA to realize, "Damn, we have no venue, but absolutely have to get married in 2022," I had sort of a mental breakdown and this track was born.
lyrics
Chorus
Seems like I need a break bout every month or two/every time shit calm on down, here comes the other shoe/niggas talmbout they tired/I’m like, “yeah, me too”/then I get right on back to work, I got way more to prove
Verse
Like Wiz Khalifa back in 2006/Bet I’m Bout My Biz/Every time they ask bout music shit/answers make em sick/niggas couldn’t fathom the journey that I done been on/from playin on major stages/to havin the rug straight swept from him/niggas don’t know what I’m bound to do/in the huddle, pullin audibles/straight out the dungeons like them Shaolin dudes/turn all of these losses to stepping stools/cause I need better views/more infinity pools/and plaques of recognition as justifiable proof
Chorus 2x
Verse
“Say man, when you finna blow on up?”/that’s what everybody say, thinkin it’s a compliment/if I knew that much already, prolly woulda sped it up/to get a house where my neighbors only debutantes/basically/what I’m sayin is it’s much more than the surface/each release/y’all keep playin/just a fraction of this circus/please believe/all this stressin goin towards a greater purpose/now I need/one of these labels to help with all this promotion
